In 2020, I was told I wasn’t an expert. I was told that decisions about how to live—how to breathe, what to inject into my body, how to raise my children, and even my belief system—would be made by people “smarter” than me. Questioning these so-called “facts” was deemed harmful, incompetent, and even racist.
I am nobody. Just a homeschool mom with four children, striving to raise them well, contribute as a good citizen, and be a better friend. But one thing I do know? People.
I know the OSHA Compliance Officer for the South. I worked in the pharmaceutical industry during college, where I saw promising cancer drugs barred from even being discussed with patients until they passed years of safety protocols. I have friends in the CDC and NIH. I have two Master’s degrees. I can read. I can think.
Most of us want to live our lives without interference, focused on our families, friends, jobs, and communities. But suddenly, the world erupted with opinions, and I was always told I was wrong. Except I wasn’t.
So, I gathered the experts—the true experts—those who stand for truth in science. In 2021, we held the first Symposium in Jacksonville, FL. It was an incredible event where local experts shared their knowledge with the community.
The beauty of the Symposium is its unpredictability. I don’t always know what our speakers will say or how the experiments will react. People are people, and life happens.
One thing the NE GA Science Symposium is not is religious. There are no scriptures, no New Age ideologies, no evolution debates. Instead, we focus on presenting science that is:

We strive to avoid presenting opinions or worldviews. Everyone has a worldview already. Our mission is to present facts, foster curiosity, and encourage questions.
